Who Is The Real Trey Jackson?

Chuck Johnson is an American English pronunciation coach, and action actor who currently resides in Tokyo, Japan. Chuck started his teaching career at only 15 years old at Shinn's Taekwondo in Okemos, Michigan, and first began teaching English at age 20 when he moved to Asia for high-level martial arts and action training.

 

After spending several years going back and forth between Korea, Hong Kong, and the States, Chuck moved to Tokyo, where he began writing lyrics for Japan's Mainichi Weekly Column, HOP STEP RAP. After gaining extensive experience working in both Japan's entertainment, and English teaching industries, he began working as an American English pronunciation coach for Actors, Singers and business people, and developed Phat English into it's current form.

 

In addition to being an accomplished teacher of English, Chuck also speaks varying degrees of Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portugese himself. He is a also a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, a Verge Claro Corda in Capoeira, and can use a Japanese Katana. Chuck has appeared in a multitude of Japanese action films including Godzilla: Final Wars, and Death Trance and has traveled to 33 countries around the world as a volunteer teacher of English and Martial Arts.
