Who Is The Real Trey Jackson?

Chuck Johnson is an American English pronunciation coach, and action actor who currently resides in Tokyo, Japan. Chuck started his teaching career at only 15 years old at Shinn's Taekwondo in Okemos, Michigan, and first began teaching English at age 20 when he moved to Asia for high-level martial arts and action training.

 

After spending several years going back and forth between Korea, Hong Kong, and the States, Chuck moved to Tokyo, where he began writing lyrics for Japan's Mainichi Weekly Column, HOP STEP RAP. After gaining extensive experience working in both Japan's entertainment, and English teaching industries, he began working as an American English pronunciation coach for Actors, Singers and business people, and developed Phat English into it's current form.

 

In addition to being an accomplished teacher of English, with eleven years of classroom experience under his belt, Chuck also speaks both Japanese and Korean himself, and has also studied both Chinese and Spanish.

 

Additionally, he is a national taekwondo champion, an Award-winning martial arts writer and an a regular contributor to the Capoeira publication, Roda Magazine. He holds ranks in Taekwondo, Capoeira, Karate, Judo, can use a Japanese Katana, has appeared in a multitude of Japanese action films including Godzilla: Final Wars, and Death Trance and has traveled to 33 countries around the world as a volunteer teacher of English and Martial Arts.
